​Born under the sign of the piano

Born on June 2, 1976 in Aix-en-Provence, Frédéric LA VERDE, of Franco-Sicilian origin, began playing the piano at the age of three at the music school of Maurs-la-Jolie. His first teacher, Paul VIDAL, immediately perceived a natural bond between the child and his instrument.

​Rigorous training and early distinctions​

Under the guidance of Élisabeth Goudoubert, Frédéric refined his skills before entering the conservatories of Aurillac and Clermont-Ferrand  where he perfected his art under master Jean-Marie Besnard.

At only 16, he won several first prizes (piano, composition, music theory, chamber music), a testament to his early virtuosity. These distinctions gave him the confidence to embrace music as his true life path.

A calling to the stage and the cinematic revelation​

Joining the 7th Art Orchestra under the direction of Claude GIOT marked a turning point. He discovered the world of film music and adopted digital keyboards during prestigious tours (Cannes Film Festival, Ghent, Antwerp…).

​Exploration and international openness

But it was a meeting with Michel LEGRAND, during a concert at the Palais des Sports de Clermont-Ferrand, that sealed his destiny: Frédéric decided to become both a pianist and a multidisciplinary composer. His talent caught the attention of René Coll, who opened the doors to accompanying variety artists. He then became a pianist at Disneyland Paris, before flying to Los Angeles, Hollywood, and London, where he composed for British television and French cinema, collaborating with director Thierry Richard.

​The Red Piano - A unique artistic signature

It was at this moment that his father, Carmelo LA VERDE, designed a one-of-a-kind instrument for him: The Red Piano. This instrument became his emblem, a bridge between his love of performance and his desire to surprise.

 

He brought it to prestigious venues such as Buckingham Palace, Disneyland Paris, the Lille Festival, La Forêt des Livres, and major Film Festivals in La Baule, Deauville, and Cabourg.

​A composer with a free soul

Frédéric LA VERDE does not see himself as just a pianist, but as an artist of sound and emotion. He composes works that blend classical, jazz, film music, popular songs, and contemporary experiments.

​Extraordinary Artistic challenges

Always seeking to surpass himself, Frédéric LA VERDE has achieved exceptional performances: playing on water before 8,000 people at the foot of the Belem in La Rochelle; at 120m above ground on the BT Tower in London; on Fort Louvois, in the middle of the ocean; and on the ice at the Rochefort skating rink.

In 2023, he gave a monumental concert before 60,000 people in La Palmyre; and a concert on ice at the Rochefort skating rink, defying both technical and artistic limits.

​The future - between dreams and sharing

In 2024, he launched a tour of churches and cathedrals, exploring a sacred repertoire with guests such as Anne-Charlotte MONTVILLE, blending classical music, film scores, and personal compositions (Châtelaillon, Rochefort, Jumièges).

 

At the beginning of 2025, Frédéric LA VERDE composed a new trilogy album: Couple Sacré & Âmes-Sœurs, a project promising a deep immersion into emotion and musical innovation.

 

But for him, the essential remains sharing. Whether in a prestigious hall or in a public square, his greatest pleasure is to awaken emotions, create unique moments, and make hearts vibrate.

 

Always in search of new artistic horizons, he continues to explore the impossible, constantly pushing the boundaries of music.
